MANILA – Philippine Airlines (PAL) will resume its direct flights between Manila and Dubai beginning Oct. 2, restoring nonstop air service between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.

In a statement on Monday, the flag carrier said it will initially operate four flights a week, with plans to gradually increase the service to daily operations depending on operational considerations.

“The resumption of Dubai flights will strengthen connectivity for overseas Filipinos, business travelers, tourists, and cargo customers traveling between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates,” PAL said.

The airline added that Dubai serves as a key gateway to destinations across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

According to PAL, the return of the route also comes as travel between the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates becomes more convenient for many Filipino travelers.

Flights between Manila and Dubai will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

PAL also noted that eligible Filipino passport holders may avail of a visa-on-arrival in the UAE if they possess a valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card issued by the United States, the European Union/Schengen Area, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada, or New Zealand.

To mark the resumption of the route, the airline said it will offer an introductory all-in round-trip fare starting at USD650 for a limited time, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
