MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan – The Bulacan Dreamers Softball Team secured a historic podium finish at the 2026 Senior League Softball World Series after capturing second runner-up honors and the bronze medal for the Asia-Pacific Region in Lower Sussex, Delaware, USA.

The Filipina squad capped its campaign with a 5-1 victory over Europe-Africa in the third-place match, becoming the first Asia-Pacific team to finish on the tournament podium.

The Dreamers, composed of student-athletes aged 13 to 16 from San Miguel National High School, Fortunato F. Halili National Agricultural School and De La Salle University, built momentum during the group stage in Pool A.

They opened the tournament with wins over Latin America, 8-3; the East Region, 10-0; and the Southwest, 18-1. After a setback against host team Delaware D3, Bulacan bounced back in the knockout phase with a 10-0 shutout victory over Canada.

The Dreamers narrowly missed a berth in the championship game after falling 1-0 to eventual champion Central Region in the semifinals.

They regrouped for the bronze-medal match, where they defeated Europe-Africa, 5-1, to secure third place overall.

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando congratulated the team for bringing international recognition to the province and the Philippines, saying their achievement reflected the determination, discipline and talent of young Bulakenyo athletes.

He said the team’s performance demonstrated that Filipino athletes can compete against the world’s best on the international stage.

The Dreamers earned their place in the World Series after ruling the 2026 Little League Asia-Pacific and Middle East Tournament in Bogor, Indonesia.

With their bronze-medal finish in Delaware, the squad returns home with a historic distinction as the first Asia-Pacific team to reach the Senior League Softball World Series podium.
