MANILA — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said Friday it is still too early to identify the candidate he would endorse in the 2028 presidential elections, but said his choice would be someone who can continue his administration’s anti-corruption efforts.

Marcos made the statement when asked about his preferred successor.

“The candidate I will endorse will be someone who I am confident will continue our anti-corruption measures,” the President said.

Asked who that candidate would be, Marcos said he has yet to decide.

“Who that is? I don’t know. Maaga pa,” he added.
