MANILA – Easterlies will affect Extreme Northern Luzon on Monday, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will likewise experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms in affected areas.

Light to moderate winds from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Luzon, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

In the Visayas and Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate from the northwest to southwest, with coastal waters also ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

PAGASA recorded a minimum temperature of 25.2°C at 8 a.m. and a maximum of 31.6°C at 2 p.m. during the 24-hour period ending at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The agency also recorded minimum relative humidity of 63 percent at 2 p.m. and maximum relative humidity of 89 percent at 5 a.m.

In Metro Manila, sunrise was at 5:45 a.m. and sunset is expected at 5:59 p.m. Monday. The moon is set to rise at 8:12 a.m. and set at 7:59 p.m., with 12 percent illumination.

The forecast was issued at 4 a.m. Monday.
