MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte was an incorporator and director of Metro City Chow Foods Corporation and had subscribed to shares in the company, according to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) lawyer Gerardo Del Rosario.

Del Rosario made the statement Monday during the 27th day of Duterte’s impeachment trial.

Private prosecutor Erwin Matib asked Del Rosario about Duterte’s participation in the corporation based on its articles of incorporation.

“Si VP Sara Duterte po ay lumalabas pong isa sa mga incorporator, siya rin po ay director ng nasabing corporation nung ito ay itatag at meron din po siyang subscription at nagbayad po siya sa kanyang subscription,” the SEC lawyer replied.

Del Rosario also confirmed that, based on the company’s General Information Sheet (GIS), Duterte served as a member of Metro City Chow Foods Corporation’s Board of Directors from 2018 to 2025.

He further said Duterte was a member of the corporation’s Executive Committee, specifically its Compensation Committee.
