MANILA, Philippines – A father who molested his two step daughters, 19 and 14, as well as his own four-year old daughter was apprehended by authorities in San Pablo, Laguna.

The case stemmed from a letter received by the National Bureau of Investigation – Cavite North District Office (NBI – Cavido) informing the situation of three girls being sexually assaulted by the subject who happens to be the stepfather of the two teenagers and the father of the youngest.

“Itong magaling na ama na ‘yung dalawang step daughter niya na 19 years old and 14 years old na ngayon ay minolestya niya habang ‘yung magulang, ‘yung ina ay working abroad,” NBI Director Jaime Santiago said on Thursday (April 3) as he personally introduced the suspect.

According to Santiago, the older victims were able to free themselves from their step father by seeking help from a non-governmental organization who brought their case to the NBI.

“Hindi na masikmura nung dalawang anak ‘yung ginagawa niya nagsumbong na sa NBI through a non-governmental organization so trinabaho ng NBI at napatunayan namin na ‘yung four years old na sarili niyang anak eh minolestya niya rin,” Santiago said.

How it happened

According to the step daughters, the abuse started in 2023 when they stayed in the suspect’s house in San Pablo. Their mother was then working as an Overseas Filipino Worker in Kuwait. The stepfather had no job of his own and was only depending on their mother for money. He would sometimes sideline as a meat cutter in the wet market. Authorities also received information that the suspect was using prohibited drugs.

But as if in the movies, the mother did not believe at first when her daughters told her about the molestation.

The victims reported that their step father would touch them and rape them in their sleep. He would also do the same to his youngest daughter whenever he gives her bath.

The rape, according to the stepdaughters would happen at least ten times a month. The last abuse happened just last February.

As in usual abuse stories, their lives would be threatened by the subject who often points a knife at them. He would also threaten to kill their grandmother mortifying the victims.

When the two older sisters freed themselves, they immediately acted to rescue their sister who was still experiencing the abuse.

After surveillance on the subject, the NBI conducted an operation last March 31 successfully rescuing the victims and apprehending the subject.

Suspect denies

The suspect however denies the accusations. When asked if he did something to his children, he said, “wala po.”

He also did not have anything to say to his family.
