MANILA — Disney+ Philippines will livestream the world premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on April 21 (Philippine time), giving subscribers access to the event at Lincoln Center in New York City.

The livestream is set to begin at 5:30 a.m. and will feature behind-the-scenes content, fashion highlights, celebrity arrivals, cast interviews, and special surprises. A full replay will also be made available on the streaming platform.

Expected to attend the premiere are Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, director David Frankel, and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.

Earlier in April, Filipino personalities Anne Curtis and Mimiyuuuh joined the film’s Japan promotional tour, where they interviewed Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway.

The sequel brings back original cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt, with “Bridgerton” star Simone Ashley also joining the ensemble.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is scheduled for theatrical release on April 29. Parts of the film were reportedly shot in Milan, Italy, according to Reuters.

The original “The Devil Wears Prada” film, based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel, was a box-office hit, grossing $326.7 million worldwide. It later inspired a stage musical adaptation featuring music by Elton John, which premiered in 2022.
