MANILA — Low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific has been included in the top 25 percent of the world’s most sustainable airlines, based on the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), the airline announced.
The carrier said it also ranked as the most sustainable Philippine airline, posting a score of 47—above the industry average of 37 and higher than most low-cost peers.
The CSA evaluates how companies manage environmental impact, employee welfare, community relations, and responsible business practices.
In 2025, Cebu Pacific carried nearly 27 million passengers and operated over 170,000 flights.
The airline said it also avoided about 35,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and saved around 11,000 tonnes of jet fuel during the year, driven by fleet modernization and operational efficiency measures.
“We continue to take a disciplined and proactive approach to sustainability as we expand our operations,” Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Risk Officer Aileen Isidro said.
The company reported carbon emissions of 75.7 grams of carbon dioxide per revenue passenger kilometer (RPK), noting improvements in efficiency even amid rising passenger demand.
Cebu Pacific said it aims to further reduce emissions through its long-term plan to operate an all-NEO fleet by 2030 and expand the use of electric ground support equipment across key airports.
