MANILA — Actress Janella Salvador said she sees no issue with sharing moments of happiness in her life on social media, noting that she has become more open in expressing herself publicly in recent months.
Although she described herself as relatively private offline, Salvador has recently posted more photos featuring her son Jude and fellow actress Klea Pineda.
Speaking to members of the media, including Philstar.com, during a press conference for the children’s series “Bibo-Lilits,” which she and her son are part of, Salvador explained her approach to sharing her personal life.
“Honestly, wala naman ako ever tinago, ‘di ko naman [sinubukang] itago life ko,” she said. “I just really choose what to share and if there’s something that truly makes me happy that I really want to share, I choose to share it.”
Salvador said growing up in the entertainment industry as a young woman in a conservative country like the Philippines came with challenges, but that maturity helped her gain confidence in how she lives her life today.
She said it took “a lots of ups and downs” for her to realize she can express herself freely, as long as she is not harming anyone.
“As long as I’m not hurting anyone, there’s nothing wrong with that,” Salvador said. “And if I’ve been happy recently, why not share it, ‘di ba?”
