MANILA — Television host-actress Kris Aquino marked the 19th birthday of her son James Carlos Aquino Yap Jr. with a surprise Instagram post that included a photo of him with a “mystery girl.”

In her post, Aquino shared an image of Bimby with a young woman whose face was covered with a heart emoji.

“Happy Birthday Bimb!” she captioned the post.

In an earlier post, Aquino also shared a video of herself lying in bed while Bimby kissed her. During the clip, she asked him, “You have a girlfriend na?”

“I love you, Mama,” Bimby replied.

Aquino expressed excitement over the possibility of her son having a girlfriend, saying she looked forward to meeting the “mystery girl” and even suggested sending gifts such as flowers, balloons, and chocolates.

“I never thought I’d be excited for the day when Bimb really likes a girl. He told me he feels she’s ‘special’ – my birthday wish for my bunso is that she does become his first girlfriend and who knows, God willing also his last — yes, I’ll be very blessed to have her for my daughter-in-law (in 7-9 years?),” she wrote.

She also recounted asking Bimby about sending gifts to the girl, including a couple hoodie and a possible new phone, but said he cautioned her.

“Bimb has sacrificed so much to take care of me, but he doesn’t have to anymore. The best gift I can give him is to let him enjoy his youth, and let him choose his own career path. My deal with him is he just has to give his 100%,” Aquino added.

The post quickly drew attention online as Aquino continues to share personal updates about her family life.
