RIO DE JANEIRO — Colombian pop star Shakira has teased the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, releasing a short video clip filmed at Brazil’s iconic Maracanã Stadium.

The singer announced the track, titled “Dai Dai,” through a post on her Instagram account, following her continued association with global football tournaments.

In a 67-second video, Shakira is seen on the pitch at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro, where she had recently performed in a free concert at Copacabana Beach attended by an estimated two million people.

Holding the “Trionda,” the official match ball of the 2026 World Cup, she performed excerpts of the song in English, accompanied by dancers dressed in jerseys representing different national teams, including the United States and Colombia.

The track was produced in collaboration with Nigerian artist Burna Boy and is scheduled for official release on May 14. The teaser, also shared by the FIFA World Cup account, ends with the message: “We’re ready!”

Shakira previously produced the 2010 World Cup anthem “Waka Waka” and performed at the 2006 and 2014 World Cup finals, cementing her long-standing link to the global football tournament.
