MANILA – Imee Marcos called on President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to temporarily remove several officials of the National Bureau of Investigation following the alleged intrusion of NBI operatives into the Senate on May 11 and 13.

In a letter sent Thursday, the senator identified NBI Director Melvin Matibag, NBI-National Capital Region Chief Emeterio Dongallo Jr., and NBI-Organized and Transnational Crime Division Chief Jerome Bomediano as officials who should be temporarily relieved from their posts while the incident is under investigation.

Marcos said.

Marcos also formally filed Proposed Senate Resolution No. 396 seeking an investigation into the alleged actions of NBI personnel, other law enforcement agencies, and private individuals inside the Senate premises.

The senator also criticized what she described as misleading and contradictory statements issued by the NBI regarding the incidents, particularly after operatives allegedly entered the Senate on Monday in an attempt to arrest Ronald dela Rosa.
