MANILA — Actress Cristine Reyes and former National Youth Commission chair Gio Tingson have announced their engagement following a trip to Hong Kong.

Reyes confirmed the news through an Instagram post featuring photos of their trip, including images showing her wearing a diamond ring.

“Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked,” Cristine wrote in her caption, alongside photos taken in Hong Kong, including shots along Hollywood Road.

The announcement drew congratulatory messages from several personalities in the entertainment industry, including Anne Curtis, Carla Abellana, Iza Calzado, Jessy Mendiola, Alessandra de Rossi, Dominic Roque, Isabelle Daza, and Alex Gonzaga.

Reyes and Tingson have been in a relationship since 2025 and made their relationship public in July last year during a trip to Vietnam. Reports also noted that the two were childhood classmates in grade school and reconnected years later before rekindling their relationship.

Tingson previously served as chair of the National Youth Commission from 2014 to 2016. He later worked as a staff member for Sen. Bam Aquino and also chaired the Akbayan Citizen’s Action Party.

Reyes was previously married to mixed martial arts fighter Ali Khatibi, with whom she has a daughter named Amarah. She previously disclosed in early 2024 that her marriage had been annulled for more than a year.
