MANILA — The national government has expanded the ₱10-per-liter Fuel Subsidy Program nationwide after its pilot implementation in Metro Manila, according to authorities.
The program, which is powered by LANDBANK’s digital subsidy system, aims to help public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers cope with fuel costs.
Since its pilot rollout on April 13, 2026, LANDBANK has facilitated ₱27.5 million in fuel discounts for more than 28,000 public utility jeepney (PUJ) and UV Express drivers as of May 21, 2026.
The subsidy initiative is part of the UPLIFT (Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport) program of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., which seeks to cushion essential sectors from rising fuel prices while supporting livelihoods and mobility services.
Fuel stations across the country are now participating in the program, allowing qualified PUV drivers to avail of the ₱10-per-liter discount.
Under the program, eligible drivers may receive up to ₱1,500 in weekly fuel subsidies, which are automatically replenished every Monday.
Drivers may confirm eligibility through their transport cooperative or operator, or by checking the official Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) list via its website.
To access the subsidy, drivers simply need to go to participating fuel stations and inform attendants that they will use the fuel subsidy. After validation of the vehicle’s plate number and eligibility through the Fuel Subsidy System, the discount is automatically applied, with no need for cash or physical vouchers.
The system is supported by a centralized database that allows real-time verification and automatic subsidy processing.
The nationwide rollout is being implemented through a whole-of-government approach involving the Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, LTFRB, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology, with LANDBANK handling digital processing to ensure faster and more transparent distribution of assistance.
LANDBANK said it remains committed to improving digital financial services to enhance government aid delivery and ensure programs reach beneficiaries efficiently and at scale.
