MANILA — American rock band The Click Five is set to return to the Philippines later this year for a three-city concert run as part of its “For Lovers” tour.
In a media report, it said that in a social media announcement, the band said the tour will begin next month in the United States before heading to Australia and several Asian stops.
The group is scheduled to perform in Manila on Aug. 25, followed by a show in Cebu two days later.
After four additional stops across Southeast Asia, the band will return to the Philippines for a final local stop in Davao on Sept. 5.
Following the Davao concert, the tour will conclude with two final shows in the United States in October.
Playback Music Festival will handle the band’s first-ever Davao appearance, which will be held at the USEP Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
No promoter has yet been announced for the Manila and Cebu concerts, although Playback previously organized the band’s shows in both cities a year ago.
Fans reacted to the announcement on social media, with some receiving responses from the band expressing excitement over the upcoming tour.
The Click Five, composed of guitarist Joe Guese, bassist Ethan Mentzer, and vocalist Kyle Patrick, is known for hit songs including “Jenny,” “Just the Girl,” “Catch Your Wave,” “Angel to You (Devil to Me),” “Pop Princess,” and “Headlight Disco.”
