MANILA — Actress and fashion influencer Heart Evangelista said she once felt like a “sugar mommy” in a previous relationship after recalling that she was the one who often paid during their dates.

In a report, it said that the actress made the remark during her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” where she discussed views on who should shoulder expenses when couples go out.

For Evangelista, she said she has no issue paying when she is the one who initiates the date.

“Agree…(kapag ako ang nagyaya), ako na ang magbabayad,” she said.

“’Pag lalaki, oo naman, yes (dapat mag-pay sa date). Pero kapag kunwari sa pagkakaibigan, I feel like (ako na ang magbabayad), because I like to host. That’s me,” she added.

When asked if she had experienced spending for men in the past, she answered in the affirmative.

“Lagi akong gumagastos, sira ako sa lalaki. Hahahahaha!”

“That’s my language of love. That’s always been my language of love. I’m very, very giving. I’m very generous,” she added.

Evangelista also recalled one past relationship where she felt her partner was not as generous.

“But I did have one boyfriend that I felt was not too (generous), I didn’t like. There is something about him that left a bad taste in my mouth.”

“Parang, I felt like, ‘Okay…I feel like I’m a sugar mommy na’ parang ganyan,” she said.

When asked for clues about the person she was referring to, Evangelista responded, “They’re all good-looking. Hahahaha!”
