MANILA — Net satisfaction ratings of the Senate, House of Representatives, and Supreme Court all declined in the first quarter of 2026, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

In a report, it said that the Senate posted a net satisfaction rating of +11, with 42 percent of respondents satisfied and 31 percent dissatisfied. Despite the drop, SWS said the rating remained “moderate.”

The Senate’s performance saw declines across most regions, except in Mindanao where it remained at a “moderate” +26. It registered +14 in the Visayas, +9 in Balance Luzon, and a “poor” -13 in Metro Manila.

The House of Representatives recorded a net satisfaction rating of +13, down by one point from November 2025. SWS said the change was driven by increases in Mindanao but declines in Balance Luzon and Metro Manila, while the Visayas remained relatively stable, moving from +19 to +18.

The Supreme Court also saw a decline, posting a +11 net satisfaction rating, down six points from +17 in the previous survey period. SWS attributed the drop to decreases in Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, and the Visayas, despite an increase in Mindanao.

Across institutions, ratings remained “moderate” in rural areas and “neutral” in urban areas. SWS also noted that satisfaction levels were moderate among both men and women but declined most among college students.

The first quarter 2026 survey was conducted from March 24 to 31 through face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults nationwide. It carries a sampling error margin of ±3 percent for national figures and higher margins for regional estimates.
