MANILA— Former Nico Waje has submitted his counter-affidavit in response to complaints filed against him by his former colleague, Athena Imperial.

In a media report, it said that Waje personally filed the counter-affidavit at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday, accompanied by his wife, Leinel Waje, and his lawyer, Leo Lalusis.

Lalusis said the case has already been submitted for resolution. He, however, refused to disclose the contents of the counter-affidavit, citing the need to avoid preempting the decision of the city prosecutor.

The lawyer said Waje is “very ready to answer any allegations against him,” as reported by GMA News Online.

Lalusis also said Waje continues to maintain his innocence and is prepared to face the complaints.

Imperial earlier filed a complaint against Waje last month, accusing him of alleged acts of lasciviousness and gender-based sexual harassment.
