MANILA — Actress Katrina Halili gave social media users a dose of “kilig” after sharing a letter from singer Kris Lawrence in her latest vlog on YouTube, where he expressed his intention to court her again.

In a report, it said that in the vlog, Halili showed parts of their family moment, including their daughter Katie, who encouraged the pair to kiss while they were together in the car. On the way home, Halili read aloud a letter that Kris had left for her.

Kris thanked Halili for giving him another chance to reconnect with her over the past months, describing their recent time together as meaningful for him. The actress was seen getting emotional while reading the message.

“I’m not here to rush anything. I just want you to feel safe, safe to be yourself, safe to take your time, safe knowing that whatever happens, my intentions with you are genuine,” Kris said in the letter.

“Baka kasi hindi aksidente that life gave us this opportunity to reconnect. Maybe we were meant to reconnect at this version of ourselves — wiser, stronger at hopefully better than before,” he added.

The most notable part of the letter was Kris’ direct question to Halili: “Pwede na po ba akong manligaw sa’yo?”

He also said his intention to court her was not influenced by their past relationship or outside opinions, but by his desire to make her happy and be part of her life.

“If you allow me another chance to know you more, make you smile more, support you, choose you every single day, and if your answer isn’t today, that is okay. Hindi naman ako nagmamadali kasi right now masaya naman ako kung anong meron tayo,” Kris added.

After reading the letter, Halili told their daughter Katie that Kris was planning to court her mother, which received the child’s immediate approval.

Halili and Lawrence previously dated from 2008 to 2014 and have a daughter born in 2012.
