MANILA — “Seven,” the 2023 collaboration between BTS member Jungkook and rapper Latto, has surpassed 3 billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first song by a Korean and Asian artist to reach the milestone on the music streaming platform.

In a media report, it said that Jungkook’s agency, BigHit Music, announced the achievement, marking another record for the global hit released in 2023.

As of press time, “Seven” is the only song by an Asian artist included in Spotify’s Top 100 most-streamed songs.

Among BTS tracks, the group’s 2020 hit “Dynamite” remains its most-streamed song, approaching 2.3 billion streams. The track trails Toto’s “Africa,” which currently has 2.65 billion streams on the platform.

“Seven” has also spent 153 weeks on Spotify’s Weekly Top Songs Global chart, the longest chart run for a solo song by an Asian artist.

The song previously earned Jungkook four Guinness World Records, including the record for the most-streamed Spotify song in a single week by a male artist after accumulating nearly 90 million streams.

Its music video has likewise continued to attract viewers on YouTube. The video, featuring Jungkook and South Korean actress Han So-hee, has recorded 619 million views to date.
