MANILA – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s net satisfaction rating improved to -7 in June 2026 from -15 in March, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
The Second Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey, conducted from June 20 to 29, found that 38 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Marcos’ performance, 17 percent were undecided, and 45 percent were dissatisfied.
Compared with the March survey, the proportion of satisfied respondents increased from 33 percent to 38 percent, while dissatisfaction declined from 49 percent to 45 percent. The resulting net satisfaction rating of -7, computed by subtracting dissatisfied respondents from satisfied respondents, falls under SWS’ “neutral” classification and marks an eight-point improvement from the President’s personal record-low -15 in March.
Across major areas, Marcos posted his highest net satisfaction rating in Balance Luzon at +11, followed by the Visayas at -3, Metro Manila at -24, and Mindanao at -35.
The President’s ratings improved in all four areas compared with March, rising by nine points in Balance Luzon, 12 points in the Visayas, seven points in Metro Manila, and five points in Mindanao.
SWS also recorded gains in both rural and urban areas. Net satisfaction in rural communities improved from -9 to -2, while urban areas registered an increase from -20 to -12.
Among women, Marcos’ net satisfaction rating rose from -15 to -7, while among men it likewise improved from -16 to -7.
By age group, the largest increases were recorded among respondents aged 25 to 34 and 35 to 44, whose ratings both improved by 19 points. Ratings also increased among those aged 45 to 54 and respondents aged 55 and above. However, net satisfaction among those aged 18 to 24 declined from -17 to -27.
The survey also showed higher ratings across most educational levels. Net satisfaction increased by 20 points among non-elementary graduates, eight points among elementary graduates, 15 points among junior high school graduates, and 18 points among college graduates. In contrast, respondents with some senior high school education registered a six-point decline.
The survey further found that 43 percent of respondents believe Marcos serves the interests of the rich, while 35 percent said he serves the poor and 25 percent said he serves the middle class. Respondents were allowed to provide multiple answers.
Among those who said the President serves the interests of the poor, Marcos posted a net satisfaction rating of +42, classified by SWS as “good.” Those who said he serves the middle class gave him a +13 rating, while respondents who believed he serves the rich gave him a -35 rating.
SWS said the survey was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adults nationwide, including 300 respondents each from Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. The survey has a margin of error of ±3 percent for national estimates and ±6 percent for each major area.
According to SWS, the survey was non-commissioned and conducted on its own initiative as a public service.
