MANILA – The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) has retained its ISO 9001:2015 certification for the Quality Management System (QMS) covering two of its core operations following a surveillance audit by certifying body TÜV SÜD Management Service GmbH.

The audit, conducted in May 2026, covered the PDIC’s Claims Settlement Operations (CSO) and Assessment of Member Banks (AMB), as well as their support processes.

The audit yielded zero major or minor non-conformities, reflecting the corporation’s compliance with quality management standards and its service delivery practices.

TÜV SÜD also commended the PDIC for achieving a 100 percent settlement rate for valid deposit insurance claims within prescribed turnaround times.

The certifying body likewise recognized the PDIC’s efforts to integrate climate change risks into its governance, risk management and control framework, as well as its expansion of deposit insurance coverage to Islamic banking units as part of efforts to promote financial inclusion.

The audit report also cited the PDIC’s recent recognitions, including its award from the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) as a top government-owned or -controlled corporation in the implementation of the 2024 Corporate Governance Scorecard.

The PDIC also received a Silver Award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority for its performance in the Report Card Survey 2.0.

The corporation currently holds ISO certifications for three other core processes—real property disposal, bank examination, and loans management—in addition to the renewed certifications for CSO and AMB.

The PDIC said its continued adherence to quality management standards helps strengthen depositor confidence and supports its mandate of maintaining financial stability.
