MANILA – The Land Bank of the Philippines (LandBank) will temporarily remove convenience fees for certain online government transactions as part of efforts to ease costs for Filipinos and expand access to digital payment services.
In a statement released Monday, the state-owned bank said the fee waiver for eligible person-to-government (P2G) payments made through QRPh channels will take effect from June 1 to Dec. 31, 2026.
The initiative covers transactions processed through LandBank Link.BizPortal using the QRPh option, QRPh standees installed at participating government offices, and government agency websites that use LandBank Link.BizPortal via QRPh as a payment method.
Covered transactions include payments to participating government institutions such as selected national government agencies, government-owned and controlled corporations, local government units, water districts, and state universities and colleges.
Among the transactions that may be paid through the program are police clearance fees, real property taxes, business permit payments, apostille certificates, and other government dues.
LandBank said the fee waiver forms part of the government’s broader response to rising costs and global economic challenges while supporting wider access to affordable financial services under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Program.
The bank clarified that payment methods outside the QRPh channels are not covered by the waiver. Charges imposed by merchants or other service providers, if applicable, will also continue to apply.
“LandBank’s zero convenience fees for online government payments provides convenient access to essential public transactions at no additional cost. Transacting with government agencies online is now more affordable. This initiative is part of our continuous efforts to bring government services closer to the people,” Finance Secretary and LandBank Chair Frederick Go said.
LandBank President and Chief Executive Officer Lynette Ortiz said the program is intended to make government transactions easier and less costly while encouraging greater use of digital financial services.
“LandBank is waiving fees for online government payments to make services more accessible, while bringing more Filipinos into the digital financial ecosystem. This supports our broader goal of advancing financial inclusion and delivering services that are more responsive to the needs of the public,” Ortiz said.
