MANILA – Shakira has scored another global football hit as “Dai Dai,” her collaboration with Burna Boy and the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, climbed to No. 1 on Spotify’s global chart.
According to a report, it said that in Hits Daily Double, growing interest in the World Cup helped drive streaming numbers for the track, which was released in May.
“Dai Dai” combines Latin pop and Afrobeat and centers on themes of perseverance, unity and football’s global appeal.
Earlier, Reuters reported that Shakira unveiled the song through a teaser video filmed at Maracanã Stadium, with Burna Boy joining her on the track. The World Cup is scheduled to run from June 11 to July 19 across Mexico, the United States and Canada.

According to the release, “Dai Dai” has accumulated more than 500 million streams across digital platforms, while its official music video has surpassed 296 million views. The song is also charting in more than 56 countries.

She is also expected to co-headline the first halftime show in a FIFA World Cup final on July 19 alongside Madonna and BTS, according to reports.
Following her U.S. performances, Shakira is set to begin the European leg of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour in Spain.
Launched in February 2025, the tour has become one of the world’s highest-grossing concert tours, according to the release.
