MANILA— Several areas across the country may experience rain showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday, Nov. 4, as the easterlies and localized thunderstorms affect much of the Philippines, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
Moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila, the Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to the easterlies. Severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides.
Similar weather conditions are expected in Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley, with no significant impact expected.
PAGASA said the northeast monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon.
For wind and coastal water conditions, Luzon and the Visayas will have light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to east, with coastal waters ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.
Mindanao will also experience light to moderate northeast to east winds, with coastal waters at 0.6 to 1.8 meters.
PAGASA also reported that Typhoon In-fa (2631) was outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility as of 3 a.m., located 1,770 kilometers east-northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon.
The tropical cyclone had maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It was moving north-northwestward at 10 kph.
For Metro Manila, the sun is expected to rise at 5:52 a.m. and set at 5:27 p.m. Wednesday. The moon is expected to rise at 1:22 a.m. and set at 1:59 p.m., with 23% illumination.
